Knit one, purl two...

And now, a yarn post.
I finally finished the shawl I started over a year ago, the "simple" project that would teach my fingers the basic knit stitch. It used an entire skein of Fishermen's Wool (those are big). My husband made a silver cloak pin from wire to go with it, and it fits perfectly.

Several Christmas presents I hand knit or crocheted this time, which was fun and makes me proud to see people using my work. At least, they were very kind. :) Crochet is still faster for me, though.

The green things are slippers. They stretch to fit your feet. The octopus is a mug cozy.
I made a Dala horse felt ornament from scratch and looking at internet pictures, while making plans to finish the felt ornaments I bought from Rosy Little Things and to make another Dala horse and a calico kitty. All this while baking for hours and finishing knitting projects and wrapping presents and a million other things. I ran out of time. But I will do more at some point.

I also plied my handspun yarn for the first time, and it looks like yarn now! I still have to set the twist so it doesn't all come back apart. I keep putting that off. But I'm looking forward to spinning some other colors besides this pale, silvery green. First I have to get it off the spindle.
